Our Privacy Promise
We collect only the information necessary to provide you with a great task management experience. We never sell your information to anyone, and your task data remains private.
Privacy-First Approach
TaskDone is designed with privacy in mind:
Your data is yours: We never claim ownership of your tasks, projects, or notes
Minimal data collection: We only store what's necessary to provide the service
No behavioral profiling: We don't track your behavior or build profiles for advertising
No advertising: We don't show ads or share data with advertising networks
Export anytime: You can export all your data at any time
Information We Collect
We collect the following information:
Account Information:
Your email address (for account creation and login)
A securely encrypted password (we can't see your actual password)
Optional profile information (name, avatar, preferences)
Task and Project Data:
Tasks, projects, notes, and other content you create
Settings and preferences you configure
Usage data to improve the service (aggregated and anonymized)
Payment Information (if applicable):
All payments are processed by Stripe, a trusted payment provider
We never see or store your credit card numbers
We only receive confirmation that a payment was successful
Information We Don't Collect
We don't collect your location
We don't track what device you're using
We don't build advertising profiles or behavioral profiles
We don't use tracking cookies
To keep you logged in, we store a session token in your browser's local storage (not cookies). This token stays on your device and can't be used to track you across other websites.
We do monitor our servers for performance and security purposes, but we're not interested in tracking individual user behavior - we just want to make sure our software runs well.

To save your tasks, projects, and preferences
To process payments for premium features (through Stripe)
To send important service updates and notifications
To improve the service and add new features
To prevent fraud and ensure security
We Never Sell Your Information
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with advertisers, data brokers, or any third parties for marketing purposes. Period.
Deleting Your Account
You can delete your account at any time from your account settings. Deletion is permanent - we actually remove your data from our database, not just set a "deleted" flag. When you delete your account:
Your account and personal information are permanently removed from our database
Your access codes are deleted and stop working
Transaction records are anonymized (we keep them for financial/legal records, but they can no longer be linked back to you)
This cannot be undone. Once deleted, your account is gone for good.
Note: If you made purchases, Stripe (our payment processor) maintains their own transaction records for legal and financial compliance. We cannot delete Stripe's records, but they are governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy.
Third Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
Stripe: For processing payments securely. Stripe is PCI-compliant and handles all credit card data. Stripe's Privacy Policy
Google: For optional sign-in via Google OAuth. If you choose to sign in with Google, we receive your email address and name from Google. Google's Privacy Policy
